Planning a field trip from Orlando to Tampa? One of the first questions many organizers ask is: “How Far Is Tampa From Orlando?” The good news is that Tampa is conveniently located approximately 84 miles west of Orlando, making it an easily accessible destination for a day trip, especially to exciting locations like Zoo Tampa. Knowing the distance is just the beginning of your planning. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable visit for your group, especially when considering group rates, here’s what you need to know about booking a field trip to Zoo Tampa.
To qualify for a group rate at Zoo Tampa, you’ll need a minimum of 15 people. When making your reservation, remember to make one field trip reservation per order. If your group is planning visits on multiple days, you’ll need to complete a new reservation for each day.
When estimating your headcount, be sure to include both children and adults. It’s important to note that pass holders should not be included in your ticket headcount for the purpose of group rates.
Navigating the ticket page is straightforward. To ensure the correct chaperone ratio for your group, select the appropriate grade level on the left side of the screen. When you reach the calendar section on the ticket page, the number of available tickets for each day will be displayed in the top right corner. This number includes tickets for both children and adults. If your group size exceeds the number of tickets available on a particular day, please consider choosing an alternative date for your visit.
Lunch arrangements are also an important consideration when planning your trip from Orlando to Tampa. Even pass holders and adults who receive free chaperone tickets will need to pay for lunch if they wish to order a boxed lunch. It’s crucial to submit boxed lunch orders at least 5 business days prior to your field trip arrival. Please be aware that groups are responsible for all boxed lunches confirmed at that time.
Regarding payment, you don’t need to pay at the time of registration. If you prefer to have one person handle the payment for the entire group on the day of your visit, simply choose the “pay upon arrival” option. Keep in mind that the prices for adult and children’s tickets are different.
Once your trip is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation number and a confirmation letter via email. If you do not receive this confirmation, please contact [email protected] immediately to ensure your booking is properly processed and your trip from Orlando to Tampa goes as planned.
