How to Breed Anubis in Palworld: A Step-by-Step Guide

Anubis is one of the most sought-after Pals in Palworld, known for its exceptional Work Suitability and combat prowess. While catching Anubis in the wild is possible, breeding offers a more reliable method to add this powerful Pal to your team. This guide will walk you through each step required to breed Anubis, ensuring you can obtain this valuable asset for your Palworld adventure.

Prerequisites for Breeding Anubis

Before you can start breeding Anubis, there are a few essential milestones to achieve in Palworld. The first key step is reaching level 19. This level unlocks the Breeding Farm, a crucial structure for initiating the breeding process between your Pals. Without the Breeding Farm, you won’t be able to proceed with breeding Anubis or any other Pal.

Alongside the Breeding Farm, you’ll also need an Egg Incubator. This device is necessary to hatch the eggs produced from breeding. While the Egg Incubator is typically unlocked through game progression after establishing your farm, you can expedite this process by unlocking its recipe at Ancient Technology level 7. Crafting the Egg Incubator requires the following materials:

  • Stone x30
  • Palladium Fragment x10
  • Cloth x5
  • Ancient Civilization Parts x2

Gathering the Parent Pals: Bushi and Penking

To breed Anubis, you’ll need specific Pal combinations. The most straightforward method to obtain an Anubis egg is by breeding Bushi and Penking. These two Pals, when bred together, have a high chance of producing an Anubis egg. Remember that for successful breeding, you need one male and one female Pal.

Penking can be found in the Sealed Realm of Frozen Wings. This area is typically a dungeon-like location, often situated in colder regions of the Palworld map. Be prepared for a challenging encounter as Penking is usually a higher-level Pal.

Bushi, on the other hand, is located in the Sacred Realm of the Swordmaster. Similar to Penking’s location, the Sacred Realm of the Swordmaster is also a designated area, often found in regions with a different environment, perhaps more temperate or lush areas. Bushi is also a formidable Pal, so ensure you are well-equipped before attempting to capture it.

Setting Up the Breeding Farm and Encouraging Breeding

Once you have successfully captured both a Bushi and a Penking of opposite genders, it’s time to utilize the Breeding Farm. Access the Breeding Farm and assign both Bushi and Penking to the designated slots. To encourage breeding and ensure a successful outcome, you’ll need to provide Cake. Cake acts as a catalyst, significantly increasing the likelihood of egg production.

If you find yourself without Cake, you can craft it at a Cooking Pot, which is unlocked at level 17. Building a Cooking Pot requires:

  • Wood 20
  • Ingot 15
  • Flame Organ 3

Once the Cooking Pot is constructed, you can bake Cake using the following ingredients:

  • Flour 5
  • Red Berries 8
  • Milk 7
  • Egg 8
  • Honey 2

These ingredients can be obtained through various methods like farming, purchasing from merchants, or defeating specific Pals. After preparing the Cake, place it in the Breeding Farm’s food box. With Cake provided and Bushi and Penking comfortably placed in the Breeding Farm, the breeding process will commence. Egg generation time can vary, so check back periodically. It’s advisable to return after a couple of hours to see if an egg has been produced.

Hatching the Precious Egg: Incubation

After some time, a Large Egg (or potentially other egg sizes, but Anubis typically comes from a Large Egg in this pairing) will appear in the Breeding Farm. Collect the egg and head to your Egg Incubator. Place the egg inside the incubator to begin the hatching process.

If you wish to accelerate the incubation time, you can strategically place a Campfire near the Egg Incubator. The added warmth from the campfire can slightly reduce the hatching duration. Be mindful not to overheat the incubator, as this might have adverse effects (though generally, a campfire provides a safe and beneficial temperature boost).

By following these steps, you’ll be well on your way to hatching your very own Anubis. Breeding Anubis requires patience and preparation, but the reward of adding this exceptional Pal to your collection is well worth the effort.
