Portable Document Format (PDF) files are indispensable for sharing documents seamlessly across different operating systems. Unlike DOC files, which can alter in appearance based on system fonts and configurations, PDFs maintain a consistent look, much like an image. This makes them ideal for online sharing, though they can present challenges when editing compared to DOC files.
Why Merge PDF Files?
Imagine needing to consolidate information from several documents. With editable DOC files, you can easily copy and paste content to merge them. However, PDFs are less flexible. Without specialized PDF editing software, adding pages or directly copying text—especially from scanned PDFs—can be cumbersome.
Fortunately, combining PDFs is straightforward and free with online tools. You can quickly merge multiple PDF documents into a single, unified file without needing to install any software.
Step-by-Step: Combining Your PDF Documents for Free
Our online tool simplifies the process of combining PDF files, accommodating up to 20 PDFs at once. This is an efficient way to compile various documents into one cohesive PDF.
To begin, click the “UPLOAD FILES” button and select up to 20 PDF files from your computer. Alternatively, you can drag and drop files directly into the designated “Drop Your Files Here” area.

Once your files are uploaded, ensure they are arranged in your preferred sequence. The tool merges PDFs in the order they are listed, from top to bottom. You can easily rearrange them by dragging and dropping within the queue to set the correct order.

After verifying the order, click the “COMBINE” button. The system will process your request, merge all uploaded PDFs into a single document, and automatically initiate the download.
Need to combine more than 20 PDFs? No problem! First, combine your initial set of up to 20 PDFs. Then, upload this newly combined PDF along with any remaining PDFs you wish to add. Click “COMBINE” again to merge everything into an even larger PDF. Repeat this process as needed to combine any number of PDFs.
Remember, for security reasons, combined PDFs must be downloaded within one hour. If the download is not completed within this timeframe, you will need to re-upload your files and repeat the combining process.
Is It Safe to Combine PDFs Online?
Concerns about file safety are understandable. Rest assured, when you upload PDFs to our system, your original files remain untouched on your computer. Our tool works with a copy of your uploads to perform the merge.
Regarding data privacy, we prioritize your security. All uploaded files and converted documents are completely and automatically erased from our servers after one hour. This ensures that your sensitive information remains private and secure. You can confidently combine your PDFs knowing your data is protected.
