Manifestation might seem like a concept shrouded in mystery, perhaps even a bit like wishful thinking. However, the truth is, manifesting your dream life is absolutely within your reach. It’s a practical process grounded in intention, clarity, and consistent action. While it’s not about instant magic, with dedication and the right approach, you can absolutely shape your reality.
For years, many have explored practices to intentionally create their desired future. Inspired by such approaches, I’ve developed a structured method to bring dreams to life. This method isn’t about overnight transformations, but about a committed, step-by-step journey towards your aspirations.
Manifestation, at its core, is about transforming your dreams into tangible realities through a combination of clarity, unwavering belief, and purposeful action. It’s about gaining a crystal-clear understanding of your desires, vividly visualizing them as if they already exist, and then taking consistent, aligned steps to integrate them into your life. The principle behind manifestation is that your thoughts, emotions, and overall energy have a profound impact on shaping your reality. By consciously aligning these elements with your goals, you create a fertile ground for them to materialize.
I’ve always been a dreamer and found creative expression in mood boarding. In 2018, I decided to formalize my approach to manifestation. Since then, I’ve experienced remarkable success in achieving almost every goal I set, or at the very least, making significant progress towards them. This practice, rooted in both firm belief and consistent action, has become an incredibly powerful tool in shaping my life’s trajectory.
Here is my comprehensive three-part approach on How To Manifest the life you truly desire:
Step 1: Crafting Your Text-Based Vision Board for Manifestation
Before you delve into the specifics of what you want to manifest, it’s crucial to take a step back and thoughtfully reflect on the overall design of your life. Consider the key dimensions that make up your life and identify areas where you aspire to grow, or build upon the foundations you’ve already laid.
These are the core dimensions I focus on:
- Physical Health: Encompassing well-being, fitness, and vitality.
- Mental Health: Focusing on emotional balance, inner peace, and cognitive wellness.
- Creativity: Nurturing your innovative spirit and avenues for self-expression.
- Career: Professional growth, fulfillment, and achieving your work-related ambitions.
- Relationships: Strengthening bonds with Family, Community, and Romance.
- Play and Adventure: Incorporating joy, exploration, and new experiences.
- Spirituality: Connecting with your inner self and sense of purpose.
Your personal dimensions might differ, and you may choose to prioritize certain areas more deeply – and that’s perfectly fine. Life is dynamic, and this is why revisiting this process annually can be incredibly insightful and rewarding. Perhaps health is currently your primary focus, spirituality feels undefined, or you’re navigating a season of uncertainty.
Gaining clarity often emerges from moments of solitude, introspective journaling, and dedicated visualization. Give yourself the gift of space to reflect and realign with what truly resonates with you at your core.
Once you feel ready, put it into writing. Choose a digital space you can easily revisit – I personally use Keynote, with each slide representing a different year. However, platforms like Google Docs, Notes apps, or Canva are equally effective. Select a tool that feels intuitive for organization and allows for growth year after year.
Creating this list serves as a constant reminder of your intended direction, acting as a powerful commitment to yourself. It genuinely is a contract you make with yourself.
Below are examples of my actual text-based vision boards from 2018 through 2023. Perhaps next year, I’ll share my 2024 board – still in the process of manifesting that one!

What’s truly captivating is not just the specific goals themselves, but the noticeable refinement and focus that my intentions have gained over time. In 2018, I was in the initial stages of launching my brand agency, Levitate. By 2020, my vision became clearer, with a strong desire to launch Crown Affair. And by 2023, my goals had become even more precise, accompanied by a greater confidence in my ability to achieve them.
The key to maximizing the effectiveness of this text-based board is to revisit it frequently and break down your overarching goals into actionable, manageable steps. I utilize the project management tool Asana to meticulously organize the steps required for each goal, allowing for continuous refinement throughout the year as needed. Remember, manifestation is a lifelong journey – progress, not perfection, is the true measure of success.
By 2023, I expanded my process to include identifying what I am actively welcoming into my life and what I am consciously releasing for the year ahead. I’ve previously shared my intentions for 2024 here – and I look forward to sharing my 2025 intentions in due course.
Step 2: Creating a Vibe-Based Vision Board for Manifestation
Alt text: Example of a vibe-based vision board, featuring ethereal and spiritual imagery designed to evoke desired feelings and states of being for effective manifestation.
Now that you have articulated your goals and dimensions in writing, it’s time to gather visuals that capture the underlying essence of what you are seeking to manifest. This board is not necessarily about literal representations, but more about cultivating a specific feeling or vibe. For me, it often takes on an ethereal and spiritual quality, serving as a reminder of how I aspire to feel and be as I navigate the world – emphasizing presence over mere action.
There’s no prescribed method for creating this board – source images from your phone, Pinterest, magazines, or any place that sparks inspiration within you. Arrange them in a way that feels natural and resonant to your personal aesthetic.
I find immense joy in sourcing images and creating collages while listening to a captivating playlist. This year’s Prophetic Visions playlist can be found here, and if you prefer peaceful, lyric-free soundscapes, my favorite frequency playlist is available here.
Step 3: Constructing Your Literal Vision Board for Manifestation
Alt text: Literal vision board example, showcasing specific and tangible goals such as dream home, soulmate, and creative pursuits, intended to inspire belief and action in manifestation.
Now, it’s time to get highly specific. This vision board should visually represent the literal things you want to achieve or experience – whether it’s finding your soulmate, acquiring your dream home, or inviting more creativity into your daily life. The visuals you consistently surround yourself with shape your visual literacy of life, so populate this board with images that ignite belief and inspire action.
Why This Manifestation Process Resonates and Works
Manifestation is not about performing magic tricks – it’s fundamentally about clarity of vision, intentional focus, and energetic alignment. When I engage in creating these boards, I am actively defining my desires, vividly visualizing their realization, and establishing a clear pathway forward. The daily visual reinforcement of my goals – whether through written words, vibe-based imagery, or literal depictions – keeps me grounded, motivated, and consistently oriented towards my aspirations.
And here’s the empowering truth: this process truly works. Perhaps not always in the precise manner I initially envisioned, but year after year, elements from these boards come to fruition in my life. Dreams that once seemed distant and unattainable begin to unfold because I maintained unwavering clarity about my desired direction. There’s unparalleled satisfaction in crossing items off my text-based list and building upon those achievements for the year ahead.
Engage in this process solo, with a friend, or within a supportive group setting. Once your boards are complete, print them out so you can view them daily. Share your goals and visuals with someone you trust – for me, having accountability and encouragement from my community has been transformative.
Remember, genuine and lasting change is rarely an overnight phenomenon. It is cultivated through consistency – through deeply contemplating your desires, vividly visualizing their attainment, and showing up daily, even in small ways, to work intelligently and remain aligned with your intentions.
Becoming your truest self is a lifelong endeavor. It’s not about seeking shortcuts, but about fostering enduring change that authentically reflects who you are and the direction you are purposefully heading.
